A group, not a shop
Flash Group's slogan is "We Show The Way Since 1985". The head office is on El Thawra Street in Heliopolis, Cairo, and the company calls itself a destination management company, the firm that handles ground arrangements for foreign tour operators. Its website lists hotels, Nile cruise boats and dahabiyas between Luxor and Aswan, a fleet of cars, coasters and buses, conference and incentive work, and operations in Morocco, the UAE, Italy and Zanzibar. It mentions IATA and ASTA accreditation and an ISO 9001 certificate. It does not publish a Ministry of Tourism licence number.
The Hurghada part is excursions. The group's site describes daily snorkelling boats in Hurghada and Marsa Alam, each for about 35 guests. Business directories place its Hurghada office in the tourist passage on Villages Road.
Why it is hard to book directly
As a destination management company, Flash sells much of its excursion programme through foreign tour operators and hotels, so you often meet it through a rep or a hotel desk rather than a shop window. The group website is aimed at partners: "Partner with Flash Group" is the main button, and there is no cart for a Dolphin House boat on Thursday. If you want to book yourself, phone or email the office and ask for a written quote.
A sister brand, Flash Horizon Tourism, is listed as a Dubai company of the same group. On Tripadvisor it sells some Hurghada trips: an island boat day, a morning jeep, quad and buggy safari with breakfast, and a full-day Luxor trip with lunch. Those listings carry the platform's own cancellation terms.
What to check
Because the seller changes, the terms change too. Before you pay:
- Who issues the receipt? Flash Tour, a hotel desk reselling it, or your package operator? The refund rule belongs to whoever takes your money.
- Road time to Cairo. Expect around six hours each way, more with traffic and checkpoints. Ask for the planned departure and return times.
- Guide language. If you need French or German, get the language confirmed for the whole day, not just at the sites.
- Entry tickets. On Luxor and Cairo trips, ask whether tickets are in the price or paid on the day. The fee card on our Luxor and Cairo pages shows the official prices.
- Shopping stops. Ask how long they are, and whether you can skip them.
Booking the same trips elsewhere
Flash Tour sells the same trips as everyone else in Hurghada: island boats, Dolphin House, desert safaris, Luxor and Cairo. If you can't reach the office, or want card payment and free cancellation up to a day before, the platform listings on the pages below cover each trip. French speakers can also look at our shortlist of French-speaking agencies.
